DALAIE CHOI
Dalaie Choi is an internationally active performer and teacher whose musical work spans solo organ concerts, piano collaborations, choral conducting, and church music leadership. Educated at the University of Iowa and the Peabody Institute, she has appeared at renowned venues such as Longwood Gardens, Leipzig’s Michaeliskirche, and Spain’s Santa María del Coro. Her teaching is grounded in patience, clarity, and encouragement, helping students of all ages discover their own musical voice. Dalaie believes that music connects people—not only in performance halls, but in classrooms, churches, and communities.

MY STORY
Dedicated and Passionate
Dalaie Choi’s musical formation reflects a comprehensive academic background and broad international experience. She began her studies at Yonsei University in Seoul, earning both a Bachelor of Music in Choral Conducting and a Master of Music in Music History. She continued her education in the United States at the University of Iowa, completing a Master of Arts in Organ Performance and Pedagogy, a Sacred Music Certificate, and later the Doctor of Musical Arts degree. She also earned a Graduate Performance Diploma at the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, studying organ performance, church music, and improvisation.
Her professional development includes participation as a full fellowship student at the Yale Sacred Music Summer Academy, as well as multiple international programs such as the Oregon Bach Festival, the SOM–FOM International Organ Seminar in France and Spain, and a German organ study tour. These experiences have shaped her scholarly understanding of historical performance practice and enriched her perspective as a performer and educator.
This academic and artistic foundation supports her work in recital performance, church music leadership, and private instruction, where she maintains a measured, thoughtful approach to musical growth and expression.
